Mary Elizabeth Christian, MD, FACS, BCBA

Dr. Christian is a graduate of Wofford College (BS, 1984) and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine (MD, 1988). She completed a General Surgery Residency at the University of Kentucky, serving there as chief resident from 1992-1993. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Disease. Prior to relocating to Louisiana and specializing in Breast Surgery (2003) she was in private General Surgery practice in South Carolina and served in the Indian Health Service at the Alaska Native Medical Center. She is married and has three daughters. She is an avid runner and triathlete and is a supporter of health and fitness in the fight against breast cancer.

 

Cecilia Cuntz, MD, FACS

Dr. Cuntz came to Louisiana from Texas to attend LSU as a student athlete in gymnastics. She is a graduate of LSU (BS, 1987) and LSU New Orleans School of Medicine (MD, 1993). She completed her General Surgery Residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and American Society of Breast Disease. She was in a General Surgery practice in Baton Rouge until 2007 when she joined Louisiana Breast Specialists. She is married and has one son. Dr. Cuntz continues to be a supporter of gymnastics, and recently worked with the Bradie James' Foundation 56.

 

Mindy W Bowie, MD, FACS

Dr. Bowie attended Louisiana State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in MIcrobiology and Master of Science degree. Upon graduation, she continued at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where she attended medical school (2004) and completed her general surgery residency (2009). She then completed a Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. She joined the Memorial Cancer Institute at Memorial Hospital in South Florida, where she practiced as a Breast Surgical Oncologist prior to moving back to Louisiana. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She served as a the Cancer Liason Physician for the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Dr. Bowie is an active member of the Society of Surgical Oncology and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She also served as a board member to the Women's Breast Health Initiative of South Florida. She has participated in research and has multiiple publications in breast cancer journals. She is married and has two children.
